Rocky “Soulman” Johnson has sadly died.
The wrestling star first gained national fame after joining the WWE in the 1980s, and became part of the league’s first African-American tag team championship duo, The Soul Patrol.
Dwayne, his son, adopted his father’s name for his own wrestling name and went on to become a superstar in his own right.
His autobiography, Soulman: The Rocky Johnson Story, was published in 2019, for which which Dwayne wrote the foreword.
Our thoughts are with Rocky‘s loved ones at this difficult time.
