Scott Walker, who rose to fame as a member of the Walker Brothers before going solo, passed away on Monday (March 25) at the age of 76.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Scott Walker,” his label said in a statement (via Variety). “Scott Walker has been a unique and challenging titan at the forefront of British music: audacious and questioning, he has produced works that dare to explore human vulnerability and the godless darkness encircling it.”
He’s known for hits including “The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine,” “Love Her,” and “Make It Easy on Yourself,” as well as solo albums including Scott, Scott 2, and Scott 3.
We’re sending our condolences to Scott‘s friends and loved ones during this time.
