John Krasinski is directing the sequel to A Quiet Place, and he’s just teased fans with a new post!
“…time to go back. #PartII 5-15-20,” John wrote on his Instagram on Friday (February 22), captioning a picture from the first movie and confirming the release date of May 15, 2020.
“This is a world you can play in, this isn’t just a character to remake…it’s actually a world, which is a whole different, very unique experience. It’s not like Alien or Jaws where the main villain is the thing you’re repeating; it’s an actual entire set of rules and the circumstance that the world has undergone that you can play in very different facets,” John said of brainstorming ideas for the follow-up late last year.
The original, which co-starred wife Emily Blunt, is about a family is forced to live in silence while hiding from monsters with ultra-sensitive hearing.
