Gisele Bundchen poses with a copy of her book “Lessons” while attending a signing event on Saturday (November 10) at Saraiva Shopping Patio Higienópolis in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
In the book, the 38-year-old supermodel opens up about her decision to leave Victoria’s Secret.
“For the first five years, I felt comfortable modeling in lingerie, but as time went on, I felt less and less at ease being photographed walking the runway wearing just a bikini or a thong,” Gisele said (via People). “Give me a tail, a cape, wings — please, anything to cover me up a little!”
Gisele says that her contract with VS gave her financial security and was actually 80 percent of her income at the time.
“I was certainly grateful for the opportunity and the financial security the company had given me, but I was at a different place in my life, and I wasn’t sure I wanted to continue working there,” she said about leaving the company in 2006.
